  4. as per taste Salt
  5. as required Ghee
  6. 2 bay leaves
  7. 2-3 cloves
  8. 2 small cinnamon sticks
  9. 1 star anise
  10. 2 small cardamom
  11. 1 big cardamom
  12. For gravy
  13. 2 tsp ghee
  14. 1 tsp oil
  15. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  16. 1 finely chopped onion
  17. 3-4 Garlic cloves
  18. 2 green chillies
  19. 3 finely chopped tomatoes
  20. 8-10 cashew nuts
  21. 1 tsp coriander powder
  22. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  23. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  24. 2 tsp biryani masala
  25. as per taste Salt
  26. For Birista
  27. 1 big sliced onion
  28. 1 tsp Oil for frying
  29. Other ingredients
  30. 2 tbsp curd
  31. 1/2 cup mix colorful bell peppers
  32. 250 gms paneer
  33. 1 tsp kasuri methi
  34. As needed- Mint
  35. as needed Some finely chopped coriander leaves

Instructions to make to make Paneer biryani

  1. For birista heat one pan add oil and fry sliced onions till it turns crispy brown.
  2. To cook basmati rice heat up the pan pour some water and add basmati rice and salt and little ghee. Cover it and Cook it. Do not overcook the rice. Further take rice in a food strainer to remove water from it.
  3. To make gravy heat up ghee and oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, finely chopped onion garlic cloves, green chillies.
  4. Now add tomatoes and stir it for 1 minute. Then add coriander leaves, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, biryani masala, kasuri methi and cashew nuts. Mix it well and turn off the gas.
  5. Rest the mixture for few minutes. Bring it to room temperature, then grind it in mixture and make a thick paste.
  6. Again heat the same pan add ghee in it. Now add paste and little water along with it. Add bell peppers. Mix well
  7. Now add little kasuri methi and curd, mix well. Add paneer in it.
  8. Mix well and turn off the gas.
  9. Take a serving plate or baking plate add cooked rice and a layer of paneer gravy on it. Add some biristo and finely chopped coriander and mint leaves on it.
  10. Add another layer of rice, again later of paneer gravy, biristo, mint leaves and chopped coriander on it. Garnish it with some cashew nuts. Here's your biryani is ready to serve.
